The annual end of season Hill Golf Day took place at Ponteland Golf Club on Sunday 18th September. 30 golfers (current players, ex players, members and their guests) hit the course in hope of winning the 18 hole stableford singles comp for the AU March Trophy, or the combined stableford pairs comp.
In a tight result, Steve Dunsford secured the singles comp with a terrific score of 39 points, in second place was Malcolm Brown with 37 points, third place was Barry Pearson with 36 points.
Steve's superb score of 39 points also help him win the combined stableford pairs competition alongside Helen Shield with a team score of 67 points, they won on countback from Griffin and Tony Newman,
Nearest the pin's were won by Phil Nicholson (2nd hole), Mitchell Robson (7th) and Malcolm Brown (15th hole), Mitchell also won the long drive comp on the 18th hole, with a drive of over 320 yards!!
