It may of only been the early rounds of the ECB Cup but there was plenty to like about the performances of our Under 13 and Under 15 sides this week.
On Sunday the Under 13s travelled upto Alnmouth and put on an amazing display, winning by 111 runs. Batting first we amassed 152 for 2, one of our highest ever scores in the 20 over format. We had 3 batsmen retire on 30, Ella Lillico, Dylan Netwon and Haydon Mustard, and both Freddie McGregor and Kemitha Mudalige scored over 20. We then bowled out Alnmouth for 42, with Jayam Patel with 4 wickets and Sam Rowe 2.
It was a tighter affair on Monday for the Under 15s, as we won by 11 runs. Batting first we scored 80 for 9, with an excellent 33 from Dylan Newton ensuring we posted a competitive score. In reply Stocksfield fell just short at 69 for 8, with Bradley Wilson taking 3 for 18 off his 4 overs.
