Would you believe it, we are now into the second week of May, and as yet none of our junior teams (U11, U13 and U15) are yet to play a game, with every match being cancelled so far due to the wet weather.
However there was some good news, with the U15s progressing to the next round of the Vitality County Cup courtesy of a coin toss win against Blyth, after two attempts at the fixture were postponed. The subsequent match in the next round at home to Alnmouth which was due to take place on Monday 8th May was also cancelled due to the Bank Holiday Monday rain, we will try again in the coming week. The Under 13s also have an outstanding cup match to play against Benwell, the next attempt at that fixture is on Tuesday 9th May, fingers crossed!!
