As the 2024/25 squash season came to an end (although we do play all year round) there was the matter of Northumbria League positions and cup finals to be sorted.
After a bit of a re-boot of the squash team a year ago we played in Division 4 and although a tough league we won 14 out of 16 games and gained promotion as Champions. There were some great individual achievements with string #1 Ian Charlton winning 13/16 games, #2 Jake Mottram winning 12/12 games, and #3 Richie Mackett 14/16 games.
The team entered the Northumbria B Cup competition and won beating Consett 4-1 in the final played at Jesmond.
Richie Mackett was also crowned Northumbria Div 4 player of the season and Andy Thomson was voted our team player of the season.
