11 Jul 2019

U13s - the team go for strength to strength with another huge score, this time posting an amazing 201 in 20 overs. 30s for each of the top 4, Dylan Newton, Jayam Patel, Freddie McGregor, Haydon Mustard and a quick fire 27no for Fardin Bhuiyan. We then bowled out Ashington for 34, with Ibrahim Tayyab take 3 for 6, Sam Rowe took 2 for 10, and there was 1 wicket each for Abu Siddique and Owen Blackburn.

We now head into a final fixture showdown against South North on Sunday 14th July, with whom we are joint top of the league, winner takes all.

U13 scorecard v Ashington.

U11s - another win for the Under 11s on Sunday this time against Stocksfield. Details to follow.

U15s - lots of positives were taken from a narrow defeat for the U15s on Monday versus Alnwick. We posted a modest 91 for 5 from 20 overs, with Joe Simmons top scorer with 33, ably assited by fellow opener Fardin Bhuyian 24. Wickets tumbled regularly in Alnwicks reply, with Bilal Yousuf taking 4 for 27 from his 5 overs, and Emily Whiting 2 for 20 off 4, but Alnwick scrapped home for the loss of 7 wickets. Stand in keeper Fardin impressing with a couple of cracking catches, definitely one to watch with bat, gloves and ball!!
