Hat-tricks can be pretty rare, but with only a month of the season gone, amazingly Aaron Armstrong and Thomas Hewison added the 3rd and 4th hat tricks of the season on Sunday morning (9th August) for the Under 13s and Under 11s respectively, in games against Tynemouth.
It was a cracking few days as the Under 15s, Under 13s and Under 11s all had convincing wins in their games against the same oppositon.
The Under 11s batted first against Tynemouth posting 290/4, Ben Robinson top scoring with 34. Tynemouth scored 283/13 in reply. A strong bowling display with Thomas Hewison taking 4 wickets in 4 balls.
The Under 13s scored a magnifient 200 in their game away to Tynemoth, with Freddie McGregor, Jayam Patel and Rory Mustard all getting to 30 before having to retire, there was also excellent knocks by Subhan Shazhad (21) and Ibrahim Tayyib (24). Tynemouth scored 54 in repy, with Aaron claiming 4 wickets including his hat trick, there were also wickets for Mayank Reddy (3 wickets) and Warren Poxon (2 wickets). Abu Siddique weighed in with 4 catches, with 3 of them contributing to Aaron's hat trick.
The Under 15s completed the treble over Tynemouth with a 5 wicket win on Monday. Chasing down Tynemouth's total of 110, Abu Siddique top scoring with 36 not out, as he and Will Bowman (26no) had a 5th wicket stand of 75 to win the game. There was also crucial runs in the middle order from Dylan Newton with 17.
