It was a cold Friday night for the opening game of the Hill ladies fifth season in the Northumberland Women's Cricket League, but that didn't stop our lasses pulling off an excellent victory against one of the stronger teams in the league in Stocksfield 1st's.
Batting first we scored 78 for 4 off our 16 overs, Annie Anderson with 30 and Ella Lillico with 29 the main contributors. Some tight bowling from Niamh Brennan, Emily Whiting, Holly Jordan and Annie Anderson, and some great fielding and wicket keeping then restricted Stocksfield to 68 for 6 in reply, for our first ever league victory over Stocksfield 1st's.
