Last Saturday (3rd November) the Hill hosted it's Annual End of Season cricket dinner. Repeating the format from last year, Keith Downie of Sky Sports News, replaced Pete Graves as our special guest presenter. Keith gave a no holds barred view of all things Newcastle United as well the gossip from Sky Sports News studios, this was then followed by each captain's review of the season (complete with impromtu FIGJAM gameshow courtesy of Andy Dawson and starring Ben Mussett). Finally (at about 11:30pm) Keith presented the individual players awards for the season. The full list of award winners were:
1st Team Player of the Year : James Schofield
2nd Team Player of the Year : Ben Mussett
3rd Team Player of the Year : Jeff Mason
Most improved player award : William Archbold
Best Individual Performance : Joe Fletcher (140 v South North II's - Banks Bowl)
Special selection committee award : Peter Jones and Rory Hanley (10th wicket winning partnership v Durham Acadmey)
Lippa award (biggest sulk of the season) : Adam Heather
Special awards for over 1000 runs in season : Ben Mussett and Joe Fletcher
Special award to celebrate his 90th birthday : Norman Green (Club President)
