Further sad news reached the Hill last week regarding the death on 26th October of former 1st XI player Colin Basey, Known to his fellow players as 'Count' Basey. Colin played for Swalwell CC< Stocksfield CC as well as the Hill in the 1970s. Colin's funeral will take place at St Peter's Church Bywell on 20th November at 11:30, then back at Stocksfield Cricket Club aftwards.
