It's been a disappointing week for the 1st's in Cup cricket with a quarter and semi final defeat, the first against Tynedale in the Bobby Smithson County Cup on Thursday 18th July, and the second on Wednesday 25th July away to Shotley Bridge in Tyneside Charity Bowl.
The defeats conclude what has been a poor run of results in the cups this year, representative call ups, injuries and poor availability all contributing factors.
