Congratulations to Andy Dawson and his team on winning our first silverware of the 2019 season in the NEPL T20 Finals day on Bank Holiday Monday at Tynemouth.
The day started with a convincing semi final win by 79 runs over hosts Tynemouth. We posted 147 for 6, largely due to an excellent opening stand of 94 between Ben Mussett (top scoring with 67) and Joe Moore (36), and Tynemouth fell well short being all out for 68 runs, with Pete Jones taking 3 for 17, Anth Hunter 2 for 11 and Joe Torre 2 for 16.
In the Final we beat Chester le Street by 31 runs, batting first again we posted 147 for 9, with key contributions in the middle order from Joe Anderson, Will Archbold and Andrew Dawson. Chester eventually finished 116 all out, with Will Archbold putting in a a great all round performance with 4 wickets, Anth Hunter getting 3, Pete Jones 2 and Joe Torre with the other.
