Tough Scottish opposition headline the weekend games as we build up to the new season

This weekend will see a number of pre season fixtures as we build up to the start of the 2019 season. A 1st XI squad is travelling up North to Edinburgh to play Scottish powerhouse teams Carlton on Saturday 13th and Grange on Sunday 14th. Back at the Hill a 2nd XI team are playing Middlesbrough on Sunday 14th. During the week there are two more friendlies at the Hill, this time against Tynedale on Tuesday 16th and Percy Main on Thursday 18th, both midweek games have a 5:45pm start. The squad heading to Scotland is:

K Coetzer, P Halliday, J Schofield, F McCreath, B Mussett, L Mussett, J Moore, C Harding, A Heather, M Williamson, W Archbold

Result Update - the weekend saw two competitive games, with a win over Carlton and a loss to Grange, as well as a few hundred quid spent on hand warmers and the Edinburgh city centre pubs and clubs.
