Fortunately rain has been a rare occurance so far this season, so we were due a wet weeeknd, and so it proved this weekend, all of Saturdays games started but didn't finish, with only 2 overs possible at the Hill for the 1st's, however further north at Ashington the 2nd's managed to reach 94 for 4 in 27 overs (Returning Prahalad Nadella with 38no and Andy Dawson 27no) before the heavens opened, meanwhile at Blaydon the NTCL 3rd's got in 11 overs and were a healthy 64 for 2 (Rashid Shad ) when the rain hit. Due to the volume of rain the day before, Sunday's NEPL home game against Whitburn was cancelled without a ball being bowled. Let's hope for better weather next weekend.
