Saturday 1st July turned into a disastrous day for the 1st and 2nd's as both fell to defeat against South North.
At Gosforth, the 1st's were inserted into bat, in what became a rain affected match, which was reduced to a 47/42 over split. The rain interuption did not help at all, as a steady start to our innings was undone by the reduction in overs, we eventually posted 142 for 8 in 47 overs, Luke Doneathy scoring his first half century for the Hill with an excellent knock of 50 from 61 balls.
South North lost wickets regularly in reply but eventuality got over the line 6 wickets down in the 35th over. Luke's (Mussett and Doneathy) sharing 2 wickets each, and Kyle and Rory picking up 1 each.
