The West Tyne 3rd XI brought down the curtain on the 2020 season with a 4 wicket victory over Stamfordham with a familiar face in the opposition.
Winning the toss and electing to field the Hill bowled out Stamfordham for 120 with Joe Anderson top scoring for the opposition top scoring for the opposition with 31 before toe ending a pull shot to Akee at mid wicket off the bowling of Zain Ullah. At one point Stamfordham were 90 for 4 but 3 wickets for Chris Pounder, 2 for Akee Tassawar and Zain Ullah and 1 each for Matthew Lockey and Joe Fletcher turned the game in the Hill’s favour.
The Hill got over the line in the. 30th over with contributions from Joe Fletcher 32, Rohan Aatif 25 Davey Ladd and Haydon Mustard 16 and Zain Ullah 15.
So that's a wrap for 2020, hopefully a season that we will never see the likes of again.
