It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of two more Hill members, Brian Hogarth and Paul McIver.
Brian Hogarth, brother of Gavin, Ian and Colin (all Hill members and players in their time) was a stylish opening batsman, former Treasure and Life Member. He was a great supporter of Benwell Hill after his retirmenent, regularly lapping with John Street and his brother Ian. HIs funeral will be held at the West Road Crematorium at 3:30pm on Monday 14th August and then back to the Hill for drinks.
Paul McIver, commonly known as Chuffer, played mainly 3rd XI cricket in his time (80s), was a regular and popular Hill cricket tourist in his time.
