The festivities at the Hill have been going great guns – there was a memorable Childen`s Christmas Party last Saturday choreographed by Mark and Amanda Wright and the Haves inspired Music night that followed was also a great success.
The quiz on Tuesday was Christmas themed and who knew if you got all the gifts on the 12 days of Christmas you would receive 364 presents? Back in the day you got a big present and a little present from your Mum and Dad plus an orange – or at least that is what the President tells me.
Please keep an eye on the website and the Twittersphere to see what events are on the stocks – the Football on Boxing Day always chases off a few cobwebs and the Race night that evening allows you to donate a few bob to a very good cause!
Early in the New Year we will be laying a new carpet in the Club House and work is planned on the West Road end to replace the netting and the posts which are starting to show their age. This would not be possible without the huge support of all the Members of Benwell Hill Cricket and Squash Club.
A mercifully brief message from the Chairman for once – my heartfelt thanks to all who make our Club a great organisation – let`s make 2023 a really memorable year on and off the field.
