Christmas 2023 Message from the Chairman

Christmas 2023 Message from the Chairman

22 Dec 2023

The Festive Season at BHCC got into full swing last weekend with a wonderful childrens party in the afternoon (photo below) and fun and games at an evening event for Members. There was a great atmosphere at both functions and I am extremely grateful for all the efforts made to put the events on – they take a lot of work. It was especially good of Santa to take time out from his busy schedule – we must have been good this year.

Please consult the website for further entertainment in the next couple of weeks.

2023 represented my 40th year at BHCC and whilst it may not have been a vintage year on the field the Club is in robust health and we continue to safeguard our future by investing in our facilities and in our ground. Thank you for all your support in that endeavour, not least our terrific professional staff who invariably go the extra mile.

We move forward with hopes for a glittering 2024 whilst of course remembering those lost to the Benwell Hill Family in 2023.... some great people who will never ever be forgotten.

Short and sweet for once (Joe Moore tells me I ramble).Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to you all.

Simon Lunn
