There was a convincing win for the ex players XI against the Social XI in the latest round of the Covid Cup. It was a high scoring game (221 total runs) with Mark Dale scoring 57no and Baz Pearson blitzing 42no of only 18 balls, including 4 sixes, which we reckon is 4 more than he hit in his actual career. The Social XI put up a decent reply to the ex players score of 124, eventually finishing on 97.
Most importantly there was plenty of guesses on the final total score (and therefore funds raised for the Hill) and with nobody winning there is a double rollover for the next game on 23rd May, a junior challenge, with £75 added to the funds collected on the day.
