Unfortunately the decent weather on Sunday didn't come in time for the U13s, whose fixture at Tynedale was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch, a further attempt to play the game on Wednesday 13th June also falling foul to the weather.
Amazingly given the Saturday downpour, the Under 11 fixture at the Hill on Sunday morning went ahead, with the team recording an excellent 71 run win over Tynedale. We scored a total of 147 (87 runs and took 12 wickets worth 60 runs). Tynedale scored 56 runs and took 4 wickets worth 20 runs for a total of 76. Highlights were:
Batting - Mayaank Reddy 10*, Aaron Armstrong 11*, Rory Mustard 11*, Ben Robinson 6*, Aarnav Reelh 7* and Warren Poxon 18*.
Bowling - Mayaank Reddy 2-0-4-2, Warren Poxon 2-0-5-2, Harsh Patel 2-1-1-3, Ben Robinson 2-0-5-1 and Aaron Armstrong 2-0-7-1.
Monday 10th June
The glorious weather on Monday (how oftern does that happen) inspired the Under 15 team to a rare victory at Morpeth. An amazing bowling performance from Bradley Wilson who got 7 for 17 (all of them bowled, in fact all 10 wickets were bowled) saw Morpeth all out for 72. We then the score down for loss of only 2 wickets, Haydon Mustard top scorer with 32, Joe Simmons was 16no.
