We are excited to announce the signing of two new players to the ladies section for 2020.
Laura Pearson has joined us from Newcastle, and she comes with a wealth of experience, having played for Northumberland ladies 37 times and been a previous captained at Newcastle. Laura is a hard hitting batter, and has scored over 2000 league runs, including 2 centuries at an average of over 40.
Katie Chomse has joined us from Corbridge. 16 year old Katie is a young fast opening left arm bowler, who made her debut for Northumberland ladies in 2018, she is also involved in the Durham Jets ladies academy.
Team Manager Sally Anderson, is delighted with their decision to join the Hill, saying "they will undoubtedly strengthen our team this season, disappointingly however we will not see Laura or Katie in competitive league action, as the Northumberland Women's League has been cancelled for the 2020 season".
Sally goes on to say "we are hoping to arrange a series of friendlies throughout July, August and early September, the first of which is on the evening of 22rd July away to South North."
