After last week's excellent victory over Haltwhistle there was a disappoinitng display by the 3rd XI at Wylam in the West Tyne League. Chris Pounder's report was understandably brief.
It was another low scoring game, but unlike last week we weren’t close to getting a win. After losing the toss we were asked to bat and made 70. Highest scorer was Haydon Mustard with 12. Wylam knocked the runs off losing three wickets.

It was a happy affair for the Sunday 3rd XI who won their NEPL Banks Cup match at Gateshead Fell on Sunday. An excellent all round bowling display restricted the Fell to 127 for 9 in their 35 overs, 14 year old Haydon Mustard put down the gloves and took 3 wickets. In reply, the Hill knocked of the runs after 22 overs to win by 8 wickets, Rashid Shad and Rohan Aatif both scoring 50s.
